ANSWER: TRUE and FALSE
Animals have the ability to participate in energy healing just like humans do–giving and receiving! We are all made of energy, and so energy healing can be just as effective for animals as it is for humans. As long as you are open to receiving, healing is possible.
During a human energy healing session, the facilitator is essentially in charge of the session, while the recipient typically relaxes on a massage table with their eyes closed. The healer guides, directs, or moves the energy where they intuitively feel it is needed. When the session is over, the human gets up and goes about their normal business.
On the other hand, animals are active participants in their own healing session, often leading or showing the facilitator how they would like to receive and for how long. Frequently, they get up and walk away in the middle of the healing session to take a break, have a nap, go to the bathroom, play with their toy, or get a snack!
During a human energy healing session, permission is either given verbally or implied once the person lays on the table or sits in the chair. Animals do not have the same verbal communication skills to give permission or to say, “I don’t want energy healing right now” or “Stop! That makes me uncomfortable!”
Ethical Energy Healing for Animals puts the animal in charge of their own healing process. They should be allowed to roam free, take breaks as needed, and have the choice to receive healing or not. It should never be forced upon them or done to them.
Therefore, energy healing is the same for humans as animals. We are all sentient beings who, on a soul level, are able to benefit from to the powerful and miraculous possibilities of energy healing. The potential benefits and healing effects are the same, no matter what skin you’re in!
And, energy healing for animals is also different. The way we ask permission from animals is intuitive. We honor their right to choose to participate in the healing session or not. They are in charge of how the session goes and for how long.
These are just a couple of the similarities and differences in Energy Healing for Humans vs Energy Healing for Animals. You can learn more about this topic in the Level I: Fundamentals of Energy Healing with Animals course.
